“It was an amazing privilege to have Nancy as my midwife for both of my births. She was everything I needed in a midwife. From prenatal visits to labor support, I felt so safe having her by my side. She always took the time to answer any questions I had and went above and beyond to make sure I had all the information and resources I needed. She took care of me like I was family, and I am beyond grateful for that!She has such a kind heart and a listening ear, and she knew exactly how to make me feel so empowered and secure during my pregnancy and birth experience. In labor, she let me have my space when I wanted it, and was ready to be hands-on when I needed it, it was the best of both worlds! She knew just what to say to make me feel confident and encouraged. I often find myself reflecting on my birth stories and when people ask me how my births were, I confidently say “they were both amazing!”I give so much credit to Nancy for helping my birth experiences go so smoothly. “There aren’t even enough words to describe how amazing Nancy is. I first met her when she was a midwife training at my daughter’s first birth. I was nervous to have someone I hadn’t met there but she instantly became my friend and support person during my very long labor. She was gentle and kind and just knew exactly what to say and do. When we became pregnant with our second daughter I was so excited to be able to receive care from Nancy. She always went above and beyond at my appointments and even let my toddler ‘help’ her take care of Mommy. The day I went into labor I cried tears of joy knowing that Nancy was going to be by my side to catch my second baby. It was truly a blessing to have her be a part of our care and birth stories. She is more than a midwife, she has become our family and an Auntie to our girls. “Where do I begin.... Nancy exceeded all my expectations during my pregnancy. I never expected someone to care as much as she did. She did much more than what a “normal” midwife would do - I ended up needing special blood tests done due to a new health condition, and she worked tirelessly trying to find the right tests and called various places to help me. Nancy was such a blessing during my pregnancy. I had to be induced because of this health condition and couldn’t do the home birth I wanted. But Nancy was still able to be there at the hospital and support me. She even came hours before I was in “active labor”, i.e before I actually really needed her (because she was afraid she might have missed the birth if she waited until then.. and she was right because baby arrived 30-45 minutes after I really needed her support). This was our 4th baby and probably our last, but it’s almost like I want another just so I could hire her again and go through the whole birth with her amazing support one more time! Lol! Bottom line: Nancy cares, she listens and she wants what’s best for you in your pregnancy and birth. Thank you Nancy for all of our great conversations and thank you God for making our paths cross. “Nancy is an amazing human being. As corny as this may sound, she is my angel and my hero! I had a very rough first delivery at a hospital and so I was nervous and scared about delivering my second. Every time I visited the birthing center and had her as my midwife, I felt so comfortable with her, like a sister. She always reassured me everything would be fine and I would have a great experience. She wasn’t kidding... I had the most amazing experience of my life. Yes it was painful, but it was so magical, and to feel your body take over and give birth naturally is one of the most unique experiences that we, as women, get to experience. My labor went quickly but from the moment I called her to let her know it was time to the moment we walked out of the center with a healthy beautiful newborn baby boy, she took such amazing care of both me and Micah. She was professional and directed me perfectly, made me feel comfortable and at ease in my mind. She was my peace in the moment of a crazy storm. She was gentle yet confidently took the situation in her hands. I couldn’t have asked for a better midwife. My experience was perfect and don’t think it could have been any more amazing.
Even the aftercare was great. I had many questions and always reached out to her for advice and concerns. She was quick to call/text back, which is great, especially when you are worried.
I’d like to say this experience of natural childbirth with the help of Nancy was heart and soul mending; I finally had closure. My past no longer haunts me from my first childbirth, and this one makes it so much better.”

“I love Nancy so much! She delivered our first born in June 2018, at the birth center! She was so incredible. She was so “hands off” which looking back really gave me the confidence that everything was fine, my body could do this and all was right. It was seriously the most beautiful experience ever. She was so calm and collected. We are now pregnant with our second and Nancy has been so kind to help us through the early stages by answering all my questions. “I remember Nancy walking into the room when my daughter was giving birth. She had already been pushing for hours. I think the other midwife was tired and maybe discouraged. He was an 8 pound 2 ounce op first baby. Nancy’s energy felt like walking into the sun on a spring day. It took her 5 hours of pushing but he came out like a champagne cork. Nancy is a great source of light in the universe.”

“Nancy is humble, honest, real, fun, kind, and selfless. Nancy supported me through MY VBAC journey (AKA my redemption) in Feb ‘21. As soon as she learned of my plight (having been abused by medical systems prior) she became just as emotionally invested in my VBAC success as I was. It was so empowering to have her fight along side me. She was able to answer all questions and address all concerns my husband had about the journey that lay ahead. When my birthing time began, she knew when to be present and when to let me “just be in the moment”. She definitely knows how to respect the space of the birthing mother. She also educated us about oral ties, and in so doing, saved my first born child’s life as well as my newborn’s. Without her we would still be battling to keep our first born nourished and may never have succeeded to breastfeed our second. Our family grew that day, by two. We welcomed our daughter and Nancy into our hearts. To this day, my husband says that she empowered him as a birthing partner. Nancy is the complete package - really, she is...we love you Nancy!

“If you’re thinking about doing a home birth, THIS is the team you want! I had my first baby at home with Emergence and I am so glad I chose them. Their prenatal and post partum care is simply unmatched. They are SO attentive to detail and truly care about you. You are not just a number. They spent an hour at each visit!! What?! They are thorough! They visit you at your home for all visits—no driving to doctors offices and waiting to be seen. Other midwives I had consults with did not do visits in home. I would’ve still had to drive to them for all my prenatal visits and I don’t believe they did any postpartum visits either. My birth was long & intense. Without their guidance and encouragement and skills, I don’t think I would’ve achieved my Unmedicated home birth goal. We will definitely be using them again when we are pregnant with our next. Love these midwives SO much!! Thanks again for the incredible care. We are endlessly grateful.”
